Get Qualified. Get On.

Construction sites today, are increasingly demanding proof that you are competent to carry out your job. More and more sites refuse to employ people who can't prove they have the necessary skills and experience.

The way this is achieved is simple and effective, you can obtain a CSCS card. This proves you are competent and are qualified and have a sufficient level of health and safety knowledge.

The CSCS card is based on gaining an appropriate N/SVQ and passing the CITB - Construction Skills Health and Safety test. There are 3 levels of CSCS card appropriate to supervision & management.

To obtain a CSCS card, you have to pass the Health and Safety Test. It gives everybody working in construction a minimum level of health and safety knowledge. If people on your site have passed the Health and Safety Test, you know they are safety aware and much less likely to cause accidents.

Taking the test is straight forward ? it's a 30-40 minute multiple choice test taken on easy to use touch screen computers.

A CSCS card is issued to all applicants who meet the scheme's criteria.
There are six types of card:

Gold Supervisor Card for NVQ 3 achievers
Platinum Manager Card for NVQ 4 achievers
Black Contract Manager Card for NVQ 5 achievers
Yellow: Construction Site Visitor

Cards are valid for five years. Applicants are required to complete a health and safety awareness test.
