Our Achievements

CASL Management Development was formed in 2002 and approved by Edexcel to offer Construction Management and Supervision NVQs at Levels 3, 4 and 5.

Lance Saunders (Director) was involved in the development of the Awarding Body primarily to ensure that the standards of the industry and the Professional Institutions were considered and maintained.

During 2002, both Lance Saunders (Director) and Richard Larcombe (Assessor) were involved in the development of competency qualification in the People's Republic of China.

From the outset, annual external verification visits by the awarding organisations awarded the CASL centre an 'A' grade for assessment, internal verification and centre management.

CASL achieved direct claim status for the majority of the awards.

In November 2003 CASL was the first centre to be awarded approval to offer the Level 5 NVQ in Construction Project Management.

The company received Chartered Building Consultancy status from the CIOB in July 2005.

In 2006 CASL was approved as an assessment centre for Transportation Vocational Qualifications (TVQs) at Levels 3, 4 and 5 through the Open University Awarding Body (OUAB) and for Laboratory NVQs at Levels 2, 3 and 4 by the PAAVQ-SET Awarding Body.

Throughout 2008 and 2009 CASL were involved in the test and trials for the new Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF).

CASL achieved the Matrix Standard in 2009 in recognition of our dedication to delivering a high-quality service to our candidates.

In 2010 CASL became the first centre to award the Level 5 NVQ in Construction Senior Management to one of their candidates.
