Richard Larcombe MA CEng FICE FCIOB MCIPD (CASL Internal Verifier & Assessor)

Richard graduated from Cambridge in 1962, and spent 19 years with Costain as a civil engineering manager.  He moved to ARC for the next eight years, where he became a director of ARC Building.  In 1990 he took responsibility for the development of higher level National Occupational Standards (NOS) and N/SVQs in the construction sector.  In 1995 Richard became Deputy Chief Executive at NCVQ, and two years later joined the Institution of Civil Engineers as Director of Qualifications and Professional Development.

Richard is now a self-employed consultant in the field of education, training and professional development.  He was for two years the chairman of the ICE/CIOB/Edexcel Joint Awarding Body for higher level construction NVQs, and for seven years manager of TVG, the Awarding Body for higher level transportation NVQs.

Richard is an assessor and an internal verifier for CASL and CASL/TMS.
