The Construction Site Supervision NVQ has been replaced by the new QCF Level 3 Diploma and is suitable for people who work in the construction industry as a site supervisor.  Those who require this award for obtaining a CSCS Gold Card can, on registering with CASL, obtain an Experienced Worker Card which lasts for 3 years and on completion of the NVQ can obtain the full CSCS Gold Card.

This Diploma is awarded at Level 3 which is essentially for technicians and supervisors and covers the role of a person either carrying out technical work or the supervision of operatives involved in a construction activity. The essential function at this level is to be able to prove that you are able to consistently perform and carry out your duties under minimum supervision, applying knowledge in a broad range and variety of work activities most of which are complex and non-routine. The job role would normally be a Technician or Construction Site Supervisor.

The QCF Construction Site Supervision Level 3 Diploma will also lead to a CSCS Gold Card and also membership of The Chartered Institute of Building as an Associate Member. Both the CSCS and CIOB Membership will need application direct to those organisations.

Progression from the Construction Supervision Diploma would take the candidate to the Level 6 QCF Diploma in Construction Site Management and a Black CSCS Card and Incorporated Membership of The Chartered Institute of Building ICIOB.

It is important to note that candidates currently registered on an NVQ can continue to completion as long as the award remains live. Candidates who are approaching the end of their registration period are notified by CASL by email at address registered with CASL.
