The Assessor will assess your work and will be occupationally competent at a level that must be above the level being assessed; all CASL Assessors are either Chartered or Professionally qualified and hold appropriate assessor/verifier awards. The assessor is there to help you achieve the award, offering advice support and guidance.

It is your assessor's responsibility to:

• help you to develop an assessment plan that meets your needs;
• advise on how to build and present your portfolio of evidence;
• help you to identify opportunities for the collection of evidence;
• explain any areas of the assessment process which you do not understand;
• provide you with clear and objective feedback following every assessment;
• complete all the appropriate documents in connection with your assessment(s).
