The External Verifier is appointed by the Awarding Body to ensure the national standards are met within the centre; they will sample assessments and examine the management and operation of the centre.  This ensures that quality is maintained and that awards fully meet the standards. CASL has always had exemplary reports from all external verifier visits.

It is the external verifier's responsibility to:

• provide support and advice to us and especially to internal verifiers;
• provide clear and objective feedback to internal verifiers and the awarding body;
• monitor the use of our documents, procedures and systems to ensure they meet the requirements of the awarding body.
